Horsehair Raku

Gallery

My relationship to a number of potters working in various pueblos informs my work.  Through dear friends in Tucson, I have been afforded an opportunity to spend extended time in the vault housing nearly 20,000 pieces of early indigenous pottery at Arizona State University.  Holding pieces and shards in my hands (with cotton gloves on) was an experience I will always treasure.

Nature lets me write…

Earth, through hands and into fire.

Fire pens the last word.
