Bending Pines Pottery Memorial Day Sale
This year marks our 20th Annual Memorial and Labor Day Weekend Sales. What began in St. Cloud, then moved to my cabin on Lake Shamineau, is now held at our home in Nisswa. Last season, through five sales and commissions, we sold over 300 pieces—nearly 1,500 pounds of clay. It’s a rewarding milestone (and a fair amount of lifting), made possible in part by Musa’s work expanding our online presence and enhancing the website with new categories.
In preparation for this year’s events, I’ve spent the past several months in the studio rebuilding inventory. That time in the studio is also a time for reflection.
Looking out through the studio window, the changing seasons are impossible to miss—from the warm tones of fall to winter’s quiet whites, blues, and grays. Though spring has been slow to arrive, fresh greens are beginning to emerge, soon to be followed by vibrant plantings. These shifting colors and seasonal rhythms are reflected in this year’s collection of functional stoneware.

Bending Pines Pottery Labor Day Sale
Hi! Here we go, again. Saturday and Sunday, September 5th and 6th we’ll be hosting our annual Labor Day event. This will mark the 20TH annual sale. We started working with new glazes and techniques in the spring and plan to carry these inspirations into fall with a few surprises for you. Stop back here mid-summer to see a preview. You’ll find the functional stoneware and horsehair raku you’ve come to expect and appreciate.
